Acceptance Testing Case Study 2
A Middle TN Auto Manufacturer completed testing of new switchgear. The switchgear also passed field testing during install. When the equipment still failed to operate, we were called in to help locate the problem. The PGTI Acceptance Testing team found that the manufacturer had improperly grounded the PT wire. This type of error had real potential to damage the plant’s equipment and at a minimum would have blown fuses, causing a dreaded nuisance outage. Through our proven and systematic testing procedures, PGTI swiftly located and alleviated this electrical outage and potential harm.
